THE FINAL TIDE

This was an improvement on Screw You!. The production was taking forward steps, though far from perfect, but the songs themselves were speaking for themselves, they had their own breath, their own space. Most of all, I loved that I skipped about stylistically and did whatever I felt like doing.  Listening back, they all stand up and The Final Tide, the song about my mother’s dementia and the ripples that it spread, still moves me. Send Away the Blues was a great opener, simple, heavy fare with a catchy refrain.
