Gil Laine's music is built around stories.

Drawing from rock, folk, blues, singer-songwriter and storyteller traditions, his songs explore the human condition — the choices we make, the roads we travel, the memories we carry and the questions that stay with us.

Whether reflecting on love, loss, society, human nature or the strange twists of everyday life, Gil's songs are driven by lyrics that ask questions rather than simply provide answers. Each track is a small journey into a different corner of the human experience.

From the darker landscapes of songs that examine isolation and uncertainty, to moments of humour, reflection and hope, the music moves between rock, blues, folk and more melodic moments, always allowing the story to decide the sound.

With a growing collection of albums and releases, Gil Laine continues to create music that is less about following trends and more about capturing thoughts, feelings and observations — songs written from the heart, for anyone willing to listen.
